Our Definition of Pasture-Raised Poultry (Following APPPA Standards):

We follow the American Pastured Poultry Producers Association’s (APPPA) definition of pasture-raised poultry. Our birds live on actively growing pasture with rooted vegetation and are moved regularly to fresh forage. They are not simply given “access to the outdoors,” but spend the majority of their lives directly on living grass and soil.

Unlike free-range systems, which may allow outdoor access without guaranteeing use, true pasture-raised management ensures birds live on real pasture for more than half of their lives through rotational movement.

This approach provides clean ground, healthy forage, natural behavior, and consistent access to rooted, living vegetation—resulting in better animal welfare and higher-quality poultry.

Our Definition of Non-GMO Fed

Our products with this protocol are fed a carefully selected diet made from grains that are verified to be non-genetically modified (Non-GMO). This means all the feed ingredients are grown from traditional seed varieties and are not genetically engineered.

Non-GMO feed supports natural animal nutrition and aligns with our commitment to responsible farming. Combined with fresh pasture and rooted vegetation, it helps produce healthier animals and higher-quality meat—without relying on genetically modified crops.

Our Definition of 100% Chemical Free

“100% Chemical Free” means our grain crops are grown without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, desiccants (roundup/glyphosate), or chemical seed treatments. We rely on natural soil fertility, crop rotation, and careful field management instead of chemical inputs.

Our open pollinated corn, small grains, and cover crops are raised using traditional methods that protect soil life, water quality, and long-term field health. No chemical sprays are used at any stage of production.

This ensures our grains are grown on clean land, in healthy soil, and under responsible stewardship—just the way farming was meant to be done.

Our Definition of Non-GMO Plants

“Non-GMO Plants” means our grain crops are grown from traditional, non-genetically modified seed varieties. We do not use genetically engineered seeds in any of our corn, wheat, other small grains, or specialty crops grown on our farm.

Our seeds are selected for quality, adaptability, and long-term resilience—not for laboratory-altered traits. This allows our crops to grow naturally in healthy soil and balanced ecosystems.

By planting only non-GMO seed, we ensure our grains remain true to their natural genetics, supporting transparency, trust, and high-quality food from field to table.
